As a wedding photographer who does mostly mountain weddings (and someone who grew up in the area), I’ve put together the four best wedding venues in the Lake Arrowhead area (or at least my favorites so far!)

Mountain weddings are what make my heart sing and they’re becoming more and more of a popular choice for weddings. Ranging from a forest fairytale to an elegant night by the lake, the Lake Arrowhead area has something for all of you! I’m here to help and give some insight into some of the best venues in the Lake Arrowhead!

If you’re thinking of a more intimate wedding, I’m putting together a little list of my favorite venues for smaller mountain weddings too!

1. Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins

Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins in Twin Peaks is first on my list. Not only is the staff there incredibly friendly and fun, the venue has a really unique and magical rustic vibe. Pine Rose Cabins is a collection of unique rental cabins spread over a ten acre area. The old wagon out front is decorated for each season as an easily identifiable landmark on the mountain.

I was told the venue started weddings when the owner’s daughter wanted to get married on the property and they built the ceremony site. It turned out so beautiful that they added on and started offering weddings (and become one of the best venues). The ceremony area has the most incredible arches made out of branches with the backdrop of the full forest behind. The aisle is framed by vines, framing the couple in a really unique way that I haven’t seen at any other venue. The reception space overlooks a coy pond with a pretty bridge and several swings to relax in.

You want to know the most awesome perk? You can rent out the lodge and cabins for your guests to stay in! No need to worry about everyone getting home on mountain roads (I’ll give you a heads up that there are no street lights in the mountains). They can just walk to their cabins!

2. Skypark at Santa’s Village

This is a fun one! The historical Santa’s Village has turned into THE place for awesome things on the mountain so it’s no surprise it made my list of best wedding venues in the Lake Arrowhead area. With things like mountain biking, a rollerskating rink, and even airstream glamping (sign me up!)…not to mention the year round Christmas fun and occasional Santa sightings. It’s also the spot for one of the most elegant wedding venues on the mountain!

Tucked away in the park is a stunning ceremony site, while surrounded by the forest it has less of the rustic feel of mountain venues and instead offer the effortless elegance of a fairy tale. There are several options for ceremonies at Skypark including a night of dancing under the stars, a brunch option, and there’s even a little elopement chapel. Surrounded by 150 acres of forested land (WHAT!?) for photos means that you get the magical, romantic wedding of your dreams.

Another perk to this amazing venue is Graystone Catering as the exclusive caterer and planner for the venue! Everything ran so smoothly and everyone was raving about the food!

Here’s a brunch wedding at Skypark that you’ll definitely want to check out!

3. Miller’s Landing

A new addition to the mountain wedding scene is the most adorable venue tucked away on the backside of Lake Arrowhead right off of Hwy 173. Miller’s Landing used to be a plant nursery back when my high school bus stop was right down the street. The owners have taken this beautiful property and turned it into the the most stunning wedding venue. From the highway you’d never expect to enter and find a wide open ceremony space set against the backdrop of forest, an outdoor area reminiscent of an elegant winery for cocktail hour, and a stunning barn to dance the night away with your friends and family. Check out this wildly hilarious wedding at Miller’s Landing!

4. San Moritz Lodge

I love, love, love San Moritz Lodge weddings! Located on the back of Lake Gregory, the ceremony site is in a beautiful little garden area with the forest as the background. And don’t let the website photos fool you, the inside of the Lodge is the rustic elegance that dreams are made of. I’m going to volunteer myself to take photos for their website because it just does not do this special place justice. Think candles and twinkling lights and high vaulted ceilings with wood beams with big open windows facing the lake. A massive fireplace pulls the ambiance together, making it feel like you’re cocooned from the world and ready to celebrate the night away. I’ll also say that with limited cell phone service, your guests are present and ready for a good time. I don’t think I’ve been to a wedding there that wasn’t a blast! The walking path that circles Lake Gregory passes right by San Moritz Lodge and provides easy access to stunning spots for photos.

You’ll see what I mean when you check out this San Moritz Lodge reception!

4. The Lake Arrowhead Resort

The Lake Arrowhead Resort is a beautiful choice for an elegant wedding with epic views! The ceremony site overlooks Lake Arrowhead and is framed perfectly by massive trees. There are paths all along the lake as well as the docks that provide little nooks for photos. After the cocktail hour, the picturesque lake view is turned into a stunning area for dinner. This is definitely a venue for elegance while still being surrounded by the beauty of the mountain.

The Lake Arrowhead Resort also offers the perks of the Resort and the Lake Arrowhead Village. Your family and friends can stay there and explore the shops and restaurants of the village and make a whole weekend of their time in the mountains!
