Though feel free to laugh at this photo of my giant husband and his obsession with picking me up.
Yes I've been doing this all the way back when the one hour photo place in my tiny mountain hometown knew me by name (I might break out 35mm or instant film cameras for your wedding).
But my real gift was a fascination in figuring out people so that's what I pursued.
Little did I know that one day these two passions would merge.

My Heart
My husband and I knew Kristen immediately that she was going to be the photographer for us! It's very obvious that she cares so much about her clients and making sure they have the best experience possible. I told Kristen from the beginning that we had no idea what we were doing. We wanted someone who would take control and guide us through all the posing and flow. Kristen made us feel so comfortable and we had an amazing time! She has such a great personality and throughout the day it felt like we had both a true professional but also a friend there to help document our special day! It becomes clear very quickly how crazy hard she works and how much she loves what she does and who she does it for! Thank you Kristen!
We could not be happier!
We knew as soon as we met with Kristen, that we had to have her as our wedding photographer! She radiates joy and professionalism and was always concerned about capturing exactly what we envisioned and much more! I cannot even begin to express how happy we were with the outcome of our wedding photos. We will forever have the most candid and beautiful memories captured to share and pass down for generations to come. I really can't imagine having hired someone else, it's almost scary to think we could have gone with a typical "Photographer" like so many of my friends did, and were incredibly disappointment with the outcome. I generally never leave comments about anything but I will make an exception here. I can't express in mere words the feelings I have for this photographer and the work she did for our son's wedding, the photos were just beyond anything we could have imagined. Her unique style, her willingness to go beyond what is normal to get the perfect shot, her dedication to her subjects, these are just a few things that make Kristen one of the best photographers around. She went the extra mile for us and we are so grateful.

Weird, right? Maybe not. Because when I think about the couples I serve—not just photograph, but serve—I think most about the relationship. About documenting how you felt in that exact moment, not a bunch of awkward, boring poses you’ve seen all over other sites.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve followed my passion for photography since all the way back when film was all there was. I’m adept at light, composition, editing, and I am constantly seeking out growth. But I don’t think that’s the most interesting part of what I do.
I’m here because I LOVE celebrating you.
I want to invest in you, champion you. Make sure you are always seen and heard. The photos are a pretty bonus, but the heart of what I do comes back to YOU.

Over a decade into this journey, I know that nature can transform you, beauty can be found when you least expect it, and nothing — nothing — inspires and fuels me more than the connections I forge with others. Relationships and my ability to find beauty while creating a grounding and energizing space for others are what drew me to photography. what my wedding aesthetic was, she went out of her way to show me
pictures from previous weddings that looked like what I was wanting. I was
SOLD. The day of the wedding she made my husband feel so comfortable
(he hates having his picture taken) and he even made it a point to tell me
the next day about how great she was with him and his groomsmen. Her
energy made everyone smile. The pictures are absolutely beautiful.
