I believe in embracing life with a whole lot of weirdness, far too much smart-aleck, sassy humor, and all the fierce passion, obsessive gratitude, profound inspiration, and reckless joy that I can forcefully wring out of this adventure called life.

Or how invested I am in documenting who you are and your love story (though feel free to laugh at this photo of my giant husband and his obsession with picking me up).
Yes, I've been doing this since the one hour photo place in my teeny, tiny mountain hometown knew me by name (I might even break out film cameras for your wedding).
But my real gift was a fascination and love of humans so that's what I pursued. A life of counseling was going to be my profession of choice because my heart was with people.
Little did I know that one day these two passions of building connections with people and photographing nature would merge.

What do you mean not a wedding person? Weird, right? Maybe not. Because when I think about the couples I serve—not just photograph, but serve—I think most about the relationship. About documenting how you felt in that exact moment, not a bunch of awkward, boring poses you’ve seen all over other sites.
Don’t get me wrong, this obsession with photography has been going strong for three decades. I’m adept at light, composition, editing, and I am constantly seeking out growth.
But I don’t think that’s the most interesting part of what I do.
I’m here because I LOVE celebrating you.
I want to invest in you, champion you. Make sure you are always seen and heard. The photos are a pretty bonus, but the heart of what I do comes back to YOU.
For me, it isn't actually about the photos.
It's about you.
Your photos mean so much not because of the things they document but because they’re the culmination of your journey and the promise of what’s to come.
I know that romance isn’t only grand gestures. It’s the inside jokes that’ll make you laugh until you cry, the meaning of an unnoticed look, and the moments that are small and quiet.
And I know that life can be messy, it can be euphoric, and it can be heartbreakingly beautiful...and sometimes all these things all at the same time.
Over a decade and hundreds of weddings into this professional journey, I know that nature can transform you, beauty can be found where you least expect it, and nothing — nothing — inspires and fuels me more than the connections forged with others. I thrive in weaving all of these truths together into the imagery that captivates and inspires.
Relationships and my ability to discover beauty while creating a grounding and energizing space for others are what drew me to photography. Creating new bonds and bringing emotions to life — it all comes back to serving you. Doing anything less would go against everything I believe in.
I know that there’s nothing more powerful in this world than being unapologetically yourself.
