Johnny and Kelly had originally dreamed of a wedding in the Sequoias before deciding on their Willow Woods Skyforest summer wedding. Willow Woods is the sweetest little venue tucked away behind LouEddies, one of the best gourmet pizza places on the mountain. The greatest part of having your wedding at Willow Woods? YOU GET PIZZA! And let me tell you that it was incredible.

The ceremony spot is surrounded with pine trees, oak trees, and my personal favorite dogwood trees. One of the best things about getting married in the mountains is that you can literally be right off the highway and be surrounded with such beauty. Which is very much the case with Willow Woods.

Kelly’s father passed away just two years ago, which brought so many emotions out during their ceremony. Sandie (their dog) brought some lightness to the ceremony by barking her approval and drinking out of the fountain. They had a personalized clay cake topper of the two of them and Sandie backpacking, camping mugs covered in traveling stickers as their favors, and an adventure book filled with pictures of them camping and going on adventures.

We adventured around to find little nooks for photos. Since getting married surrounded by trees was their dream, their Willow Woods Skyforest summer wedding fulfilled that perfectly and we took full advantage of the surrounding forest! Thankfully Kelly and Johnny are adventurous and had their boots and flower keds on so we could off road a bit!
