Aaron and Emily
Emily and Aaron’s 2016 Summer Engagement session in Redlands, CA.
I adore these two. Emily is the sweetest and so naturally beautiful. Aaron is a sarcastic, poker faced guy who loves to joke and mess with everyone. His sense of humor makes for the best sessions because I love a good back and forth! We met up for the first time and Emily told me that she had been into photography at one point. She was particular about what she was looking for and liked what she saw when she found me. I was pretty excited about this wedding as it was my first wedding that wasn’t entirely from word of mouth. Everything up to this in the six years previous had been pure referral. I know that it’s weird but it was kind of fun to meet new couples in other fun ways.
I’ve used this secret little park for family sessions before. This was the first time I decided to try it out for an engagement session. We started off in the front of the park and on a whim we decided to hike further back. Out of pure curiosity we wanted to see what it looked like. That was the best decision because we were greeted with open spaces and golden hills. There was no one around and we had everything all to ourselves.
Instead of a dramatic, golden sunset we had the sweetest cotton candy skies. You know the kind that only the very end of spring/beginning of summer can bring. We even hung around after the sun had dipped below the hill to twirl around on the trail.
Since this session I’ve had the honor of photographing their wedding, maternity session, and family session. They have the cutest little guy named Andrew now. There is something so incredibly special of being part of my couples journey.
I loved summer engagement session in Redlands. Go ahead and check out their Crestmore Manor wedding too!
