Well…let me just say how healing this summer engagement in Walnut, California was.
Allen and Elena got engaged in the time of Covid. Instead of riding the wave of uncertainty we’ve all been navigating, they planned an incredibly intimate Lake Arrowhead ceremony that would’t be derailed by a pandemic. When Allen reached out to me, I was able to help him with many of the resources I have in place. Blog posts about intimate weddings, engagement session guides, the whole shebang! Allen was pretty sure I was it for the two of them just from my work but all the help planning sealed the deal! Now for Elena there was something entirely different that made her know I was the photographer for them…she started scrolling through the galleries of pretty pictures and came to this Temecula Creek Cottages wedding. When she got to the photo with the tiny hand that’s when she knew. That tiny hand photo told her all she needed to know about how much of a great time we’d have and she was all in!
Even though Allen and Elena were planning an intimate wedding in Lake Arrowhead within a span of a few months, they knew they still wanted engagement photos in Allen’s hometown of Walnut, Ca. They scouted several locations from his childhood and emailed me funny photos from each. I already knew they were fun but they exceeded everything I expected!
We spent the entire time laughing like maniacs. I mean it might have been the fact that all of us haven’t been socializing with other humans. I honestly just think it was because they are such hilarious people. Since this summer engagement in Walnut, Ca was my first session in three months, it was the best way I could imagine jumping back into it all!
