For this sweet Big Bear summer engagement I scouted out a location where I knew we could have a little adventure. The day of the session arrived and I finally got to meet Jessica and Zach in person!

Zach’s in was bantering back and forth the Gaston lyrics with Jessica.  

“No one’s slick as Gaston.

No one’s quick as Gaston.

No one’s neck’s as incredibly thick as Gaston’s.”

For the hard core Disney lover that Jessica is, well that was the perfect flirtation. Her young daughter’s name is Alice (after Alice in Wonderland of course!)

In no time Zach knew that she was the one for him. They began to talk about one day getting engaged and married. Jessica just didn’t realize how soon that day would come! One day at a spot that meant a great deal to the three of them, Zach popped the question.  He proposed to Jessica with a diamond ring and then proposed to her daughter with a ring pop. Alice declared it the best day ever and that might be the cutest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life.

They’ll be eloping exactly on their one year anniversary and maybe Alice will get another ring pop!

I emailed back and forth with Jessica for several weeks about a mountain session. She wanted something that showcased another aspect of California and a Big Bear summer engagement seemed like the perfect solution.

Zach and Jessica were so much fun, equally parts goofy and sweet and I was not surprised at all to find how quickly our time together seemed to fly by. They have matching couples tattoos and every twirling/dancing picture Jessica asked me to check if her toes were pointed (former professional dancer problems).
