Hector and Araceli
A beautiful summer Southern California wedding day for Hector and Araceli’s wedding!
For their engagement session we decided on Santa Monica. The pier held sentimental meaning for them as it was where Hector asked Araceli to be his girlfriend. It was the first clear weekend in months AND Saint Patrick’s day. We definitely underestimated how insane the crowds would be at the pier and had to battle traffic, parking, and a few strollers used as weapons. I had us find the less crowded side of the pier and had ourselves a blast. We played a few games and ate some popcorn under the pier. Check out their Santa Monica, California engagement session here.
For their wedding, they celebrated their faith with a ceremony and full mass. To accompany her elegant emerald ring, Araceli wore Louboutin shoes and the most elegant dress. After the ceremony we met up at a beautiful park that was halfway on the way to the reception venue. The small park had beautiful trees, a rose garden, and the tiniest vineyard. It really was such a great hidden little gem of a spot. There was an encounter with a Pokemon Go crowd that made me feel like we were in the zombie apocalypse.
At the reception was the best mariachi band playing for the bride and groom as they ate their dinner. Araceli was able to dance with her grandmother who hadn’t been feeling well. And man did they dance!
I hope you enjoy Hector and Araceli’s Southern California wedding and engagement session!
