You’re in for a FUN time with this Wilson Creek Winery fall wedding! Pumpkins, autumnal vineyards, dancing like maniacs to no audible music (you’ll see what I mean and trust me its THE BEST), and the sweetest, silliest couple who love to laugh and look at each other in the way Gatsby looked at Daisy (but without the tragedy).

Wilson Creek Winery: Nature Meets Elegance

C loves the outdoors and country style wedding theme while S loves a classy, fancy, elegant feel. They found the perfect middle ground with Wilson Creek Winery, conjoining beautiful themes of both country and class. Keeping the wedding intimate, they wanted want the day to be filled with bonding moments between everyone and the focus on celebration more than anything else.

A Lifetime In The Making

C & S originally met in kindergarten, grew up going to the same schools with basically the same classes all the way up until college where they connected one year after high school. C asked S on a date and they stayed up into the wee hours of the night talking. Since that first date they’ve been inseparable. They travel to somewhere new in the world every year, trying new food and taking in the culture of the area. They are also masters at living in the moment, Sam is the artsy creative one in the relationship and C is the outdoorsy, adventurous one.

C & S wanted their photos to show their true selves in an exciting and lively way (and success because check out their sunrise engagement session). They both wanted to look back at the photos and be able to see the joy and excitement of being married instead of a bunch of staged perfection Instagram style photos that most people have for wedding photos. When they came across my work they were in! And let me tell you that is EXACTLY what they got. S quoted The Great Gatsby “and he looked at her the way all girls want to be looked at” and walking back down the aisle after the ceremony there was that look C gives her. There’s also this moment in the vineyards. The sun had set and in the blue hour light I told them to take a moment to let it soak in that they got married. C giddily picked up S and they both threw their heads back and laughed with pure joy.

Did You Say Silent Disco????

A first dance under a canopy of grapevines. A cake cutting gone awry. AND A SILENT DISCO?!?! If you haven’t heard of this you are in for a treat! A silent disco is when everyone wears headphones while the dj plays dance music. It’s the perfect solution for keeping the party going while honoring noise ordinances. And it’s a real treat as a photographer to watch everyone dance and sing to no music. I had headphones on at first but it was more fun to take them off. We were all laughing so hard we were in tears. It was THE BEST!
