San Moritz Lodge Lake Gregory Summer Wedding

It was a perfect holiday weekend on the mountain for this San Moritz Lodge Lake Gregory summer wedding. Everyone was up to enjoy the cooler weather at the lake and hike the trails.

M & B met in high school and one day B started seeing M less as her “that idiot” and more as “her idiot”. M has an obsession with hard core hiking that B has learned to get onboard with even when it goes hysterically wrong. B has a playful, joyful personality that brings a lightness to M’s serious demeanor. They’re always laughing and cuddling together in the most adorable way.

After the cutest first look where B pounced on M, they took a moment to take it all in with their chosen family, their wedding party.

The ceremony site is the lawn outside San Moritz Lodge with a view of the sun kissed Lake Gregory. Even though it was a bit late in the year for the lady bug swarm of spring, you could see hundreds of lady bugs flying over the ceremony. Their friend officiated the wedding and their travel/hiking fox had a place of honor. When it came time to pronounce them husband and wife, B was so excited she started jumping up and down in pure joy.

These two are down for any and all adventures so we headed down the trail to keep the enchanted fairytale theme going. Sunset at Lake Gregory is subtle as the lake is inset into the mountain. Instead of a dramatic sky there is a small window of golden backlight and light dancing across the water lapping on the shore. We walked the trail, climbed a few tree stumps, and had a profound moment at the water’s edge before heading back to the party.
