We’re back with of my favorite venues with one of my favorite couples for this Miller’s Landing summer wedding in Lake Arrowhead! Originally E & K had booked another photographer and didn’t love the experience they had at their first engagement session. After a dinner with her uncle where they shared their concerns, he surprised them with the wedding gift of a new photographer. They knew they wanted photos full of color and personality and they wanted to find a photographer that was invested in them. A google search brought them to my website and the rest is history. They were drawn to the vibrant colors, candid approach, the mountain weddings, as well as the amount of personality I poured into my website. We had an immediate connection and planned a magical engagement session that was full of laughter and light that showed off their love perfectly. I’ll say this, I love all my couples so much. So much. But there are a few a year where I just want to be their best friend and E & K are one of those couples.
E &K went to high school together but met again on an app. K said E reverse catfished her because all his photos looked like he was a slick womanizer when in reality he’s the most genuine, goofy, sweetheart. They definitely love to make each other laugh and there is such a sweet lightness and tenderness between them.
Miller’s Landing is really such a special venue. With the backdrop of the forest, the pastel colors gave a beautiful contrast on this late summer/early fall day on the mountain. The ceremony included some influences of E’s Russian Jewish heritage as well as their beloved puppy. They have a love for music festivals and were able to get a DJ that would make their Miller’s Landing summer wedding in Lake Arrowhead a full on party. They even “rushed” the dj booth at the end (there were like four of them but they were having the time of their lives.
