This fall Lake Gregory engagement was pure magic. Golden hour at this location is subtle, as the lake is inset into the mountain. We start our trek around the lake taking photos finding pretty spots to take photos along the way. The little window of golden sunset light hits the barely changing fall colors and we’re off to make the most of it before it disappears on the other side of the lake. Once the sun is done showing off, I love to finish up a session right on beach portion of the lake and then back along San Moritz Lodge to take advantage of their pretty pathway.
M & J met at work as both of them work in health care. With a shared love for the outdoors, their first dates consisted of eating take out in the back of M’s truck eating take out and drinking wine or whiskey. They found they shared a love for the state of Montana and during their second trip together, M proposed in Yellowstone. It seemed only fitting they plan their dream wedding in their favorite state of Montana.
Their love for the mountains and outdoors brought them to me after some googling. We bonded over my own love for the mountains and nature and Lake Gregory was the perfect fit for their dream engagement photos!
