A Gloomy Day

The vibrancy and joy of this Lake Arrowhead Resort winter wedding was in contrast to the overcast winter day. S&K wanted fiery, fall jewel tones to stand out and complement the natural surrounding of their mountain venue. When the winter day arrived with a chill and gloomy skies, it only added to the beauty of the day.

I love the Resort. The ceremony area is on a deck overlooking the entire lake with towering on either side. It’s such an iconic part of Lake Arrowhead and so many couples pick the resort because the area holds a special place in their hearts. Plus both grandma and mom worked there when I was a kid and the entire area is so nostalgic for me.

Together In Nerdiness Forever

S&K met at the University of Redlands when K was tutoring S in calculus…he claims he was only there for the hot tutor and didn’t need any help. Lots of flirting ensued, then one night at a glow in the dark dance on the quad Sebastian was dancing with another girl and K, in a state of drunken bravery, tapped him on the shoulder and just jumped into his arms. And that was that.

S&K are both pretty nerdy and actively encourage each other’s nerdiness. They bonded over tv shows and movies. Sebastian is very into comic books like Marvel and Iron Man while K is big into science fiction and fantasy books. They go to all the new Marvel movies on opening night with him and have growing library of over 1000 books (because it makes the living room look cooler).
