A Venue Built On Giving Back

It’s pretty rare for me to work at a brand new venue but that was the case with this Gold Coast Renewable Farm wedding at Aliso Viejo Ranch! Throughout the wedding I was able to chat it up with the staff to learn about Renewable Farms which uses the farms as wedding venues to support the farm and turn around and donate fresh farm food to the community! Tell me that isn’t the most incredible thing! A lot of the regular staff for the farms are interns and volunteers. With Riverbed Farm already established in Anaheim, Gold Coast Farm is a new addition in Aliso Viejo.

With Gold Coast Farm being such a new venue, a lot of the trees and plants were still fairly young but promise to continue to grow into lush greenery. The warm spring day, young greenery, and vibrant navy and burgundy wedding colors made every single aspect of the day pop with color and life.

C & M met at work. They had a mutual friend group and M started inviting C to movies to get to know him more. It took several months of hanging out after work for C to finally realize M was interested in him. The feelings were mutual but C was terrified to make the first move. The reward outweighed the risk and the rest is history.

When I first started chatting with C & M, M told me about her work with child labor and she enlightened me on the world of fair trade chocolate. Needless to say that as I learned about the work Gold Coast Farm and Renewable Farms does in their communities, I knew why their giant hearts and activist lawyer brains fell in love with their wedding venue. It’s a rare thing to find a venue that reflects so many of your own values as a couple.
