Willow Woods: A Forest Secret Garden
We’re back at Willow Woods for this fall wedding! This is one of my favorite venues for an intimate mountain wedding. Started as a logging camp in the early 1900’s, Willow Woods is home to some of the oldest trees on the mountain and historic log cabins. Nestled behind LouEddie’s Pizza, a cluster of stone and log cabins surround a small ceremony and reception space. While the idyllic cabins give the structure of the venue, the real beauty is in the canopy of evergreen and dogwood trees that give the space a forested secret garden feel that is truly unique and special.

A & T met almost 10 years before, doing long distance for the first year before moving in together. After initially wanting to elope in nature, they opted for a more intimate wedding to focus on their families. Their Willow Woods fall wedding provided the perfect mixture of both those ideas! With the beauty of the forest and the insane light coming through the trees, the details were kept simple and romantic.
Also can we talk about this vintage, heirloom ring?!?!

A & T love to laugh and come from families who love to have fun together. Initially it was T’s mother who found me and knew my natural and vibrant photography style and sassy personality would be a perfect fit for her daughter and soon to be son-in-law. During dinner her mom spontaneously started dancing with her father who had recently had some health issues. T’s grandparents danced together to the song from their own wedding and later on during dinner T’s grandma told me how they had met.
As always, I hope you fall in love with A & T as much as I did as well and the light coming through the trees that always brings peace.
