Good Luck Rain
Wildflowers and rain was the theme for this spring wedding at The Barton House in Redlands. This historic piece of Redlands is often at the top of lists of haunted locations in Southern California but that is up for much debate if you believe in such things. Built in 1860, it is one of the oldest homes (if not the oldest) in an area that boasts of its many historical buildings.
When C &C first told me about their wedding the vibe they were going for was a sweet spring theme. The day arrived with a good amount of rain in the forecast. A few pivots and great attitudes and instead of ruining anything, the rain only added to the feeling of spring.

Opposites Attract And Balance
C&C met 10 years before and struck up an online friendship. Five years later they finally met in person and eventually C moved from Minnesota to California so they could be together. C is quiet and reserved and expresses herself through art while C is boisterous and outgoing. Together they compliment each other and bring out a wonderful sense of play and connection when they’re together.
When the downpour started right before their ceremony was supposed to start, these two embraced it whole heartedly and told me they loved the rain anyway. The Barton House staff heroically rushed to move the ceremony under the reception tent. Afterwards C carried his bride through the rain and we used one of my umbrellas to adventure in the rain for photos. Under the cover of the tent, everyone danced and sang the night away proving that unplanned weather doesn’t have to dampen the celebration!
