We continue the summer of elopements with J & N’s Running Springs summer elopement! I don’t know what it was about this year but everyone was ready to elope on a mountain and I was HERE FOR IT.

A love of Hiking

J & N met at work and slowly got to know one another. One day N’s friend and her were supposed to go hiking for her birthday weekend but the plans fell through. J asked her what her plans were for the weekend. He told her that he happened to go hiking every weekend and that she was welcome to join. One hike led to many others and a friendship and love blossomed between them.

With their shared love of hiking and adventure, a mountain elopement was a perfect choice. They wanted something whimsical with all the forest-mountain vibes. I volunteered my good looking husband as a witness (who was more than onboard since we eloped on the mountain ourselves) while I photographed and officiated and off we went to explore the mountain!

J told me that he knew N was the one for him when he took stock of how his life had changed since he met her and everything was made better because she was in it. Whenever he thought about Natasha and their future together he had no pause or hesitation. He loved that she is hyper sentimental and he could tell by the way she looks at him where her head and heart were at and make him feel like the most important person in the world. N loves J’s sense of humor and how it can be delivered in the worst timing. I love that I can be my goofiest self around him and that he can be goofy right back.

We snuck back to the Airbnb for a toast and some pie that they graciously shared with us. Then we snuck down the street for some blue hour photos in the secret spot my husband and I eloped at!
