Idyllwild Magic
It isn’t often I get to use all my favorite spots but that was definitely the case for this Idyllwild summer engagement.
P & L found me on google while they were planning their Idyllwild micro wedding. While I’m all over google as an Idyllwild elopement photographer, they were dreaming of whimsical, musical little wedding with only their closest friends and family. With the focus on the time with their guests, we came up with the idea to take wedding photos on a separate day to minimize time away from their loved ones. P & L were living in Chicago so we planned it out a few days before their wedding after they flew in.

Now that we had a plan, I knew exactly where I wanted to take these two. The only problem is that one of the locations I found slightly on accident but on purpose during one of my Idyllwild elopements. Which was actually the story of how I found the first spot too but I had that pinned…so I was on a mission to find the second location again.
My husband and I set out on our scouting adventure…but first we needed food. I was obsessed with Ferro after photographing a wedding on their back patio and finally wore my husband down to take me back for their pizza. It was enchanting as ever and we spent time pouring over the map on my phone to find our lookout spot. With a vague idea of where I thought it was, I stopped to use the restroom and my husband (being the one to always make friends) went to the back patio and started chatting up a local. He gave us a street name and away we went! A short drive later and we were enjoying the summer sunset from the perfect outlook spot for my Idyllwild engagement!
If you loved this Idyllwild summer engagement, you’ll love this Idyllwild elopement or this Running Springs elopement.
