French Elegance Meets California Vibe

France meets California in this elegant Coto Valley Country Club fall wedding! N is French and with all his family flying in from France, E wanted to bring in French food and wine influences into their incredible wedding. They wanted the wedding to be all about their guests’ experience. It was their way to celebrate all the people they love in their lives and have an elegant, fun party. With so many guests traveling in from France, they especially wanted them to feel like the event is for them.

N and E met two weeks before covid lockdown and quickly developed what they told me was mutual Stockholm syndrome. They spend lockdown going on tons of hikes, cooking great food, and drinking lots of wine…so very French. It really accelerated their relationship and helped them see themselves living a simple, loving life together.

With E being from San Clemente, we had the sweetest (though slightly stormy) engagement at one of my favorite piers and had an absolute blast. They’re so much fun and love to laugh and be silly together which is my favorite kind of couple. I’ll forever be in love with the two of them.

Fall wedding at Coto valley country club

E knew N was the one by the absolute comfort and ease she felt with him almost immediately. His humor, intelligence, nerdy-ness, and adorable curly hair certainly helped things along. But ultimately she knew by the way he looked at me, the way she envisioned every part of her life with him beside her, and the fact that her cat also approved (with cuddles). N loves that E makes him laugh and that life is easy with her. He also told me that E is a nerd (but a sexy one).

Coto Valley Country Club was an inspired venue for the France meets California vibe that N and E envisioned. With beautiful trees, open spaces, and an elegant ballroom set aglow with candles it was everything they dreamed of. Add in bottles of French wine at every table, French cheeses, the largest French charcuterie board, and a gorgeous croquembouche (the French version of a wedding cake)…we were also eating the food dreams are made of.
