This San Clemente sunrise engagement session was the perfect way to wrap up a year…even if sunrise at the beach in December is insanely cold! Thankfully M & H were down with my secret plans to laugh hysterically and run amuck up and down the beach like crazy people to warm up.
A Idyllwild Wedding And A San Clemente Beach Engagement
H first found me through a google search as they planned their own Idyllwild wedding. When the first session she clicked on happened to be an elopement in Idyllwild and she took it as a sign! She was so in love with my work right off the bat and told me she was obsessed with my personality that was pouring off the pages of my website…and I LOVE that. When a friend offered to be their wedding photographer, they opted for the best of both worlds and booked an engagement session with me.

M & H met at a wildlife rescue in San Diego where they both worked for a short while and became instant friends. H ended up moving to Australia for several years, but once she moved back to the states M reached out and they ended up going on a road trip around Oregon together. Of course H immediately took them on an accidental two hour detour because she wasn’t paying attention to the maps (been there). That’s when he knew she would forever be his terrible co-pilot/passenger princess.
When Your Photographer Talks You Into Having The Time Of Your Life
We laughed like maniacs and ran up and down the beach like lunatics as the sun rose. They didn’t hesitate when their instigator of a photographer pulled her usual trick of getting them in the water. Then we finished it off with a champagne spray that their friend (and dog occupier) generously found at the liquor store right on the beach the second it opened up. Honestly it was the most joyful, chaotic, chilly, and fun beach engagement of my dreams.
