This intimate Joshua Tree elopement/micro-wedding for B & Y had all the attributes of an elegant wedding with the ease of an elopement. Well thought out details were incorporated into this incredible rental property truly proving that you don’t need the big wedding to make your day something special.

With only their immediate families in attendance, Y is from Japan and B’s family is from Brazil. The diversity in languages was such a beautiful aspect, lending its influence to the experience of the day. Y’s father even brought Japanese whiskey he brought with him from Japan to toast with at the end of the night! Y’s mother officiated the ceremony and her father was able to follow along with a translation printed up in Japanese.

The rental property was on several acres of open desert which gave us so much space to explore for photos. The clear skies during the ceremony took a surprising turn by the end of the day when clouds came in and the sunset lit the sky on fire. All of us took the time to stop and stare at the sky until the fiery colors gave way to stars. We headed back inside for dinner, cake, and a toast with Japanese whiskey.
