These two and their Green Valley Lake engagement in 2016!
I. LOVE. THEM.
Their love story had been entirely long distance. Travis is stationed on the other side of the country with the Air Force. In fact, we got together for this Green Valley Lake engagement session TWO DAYS before the big day. That’s when Travis flew in so that’s when we made it happen! Needless to say, he spent most of the session kissing his lovely Zaira to make up for lost time. It’s cool guys, I’ll just be over here photographing you like a creepy stalker. It was a a trend he continued a few days later on their wedding day.
Laughter and shenanigans were the theme of this session. We took over someone’s random driveway which you won’t be able to tell at all. At the very end we watched the most incredible sunset. Granted we did it as we all risked our lives on giant rocks on the edge of a cliff. I know that no one is surprised I risked life, limb, and expensive camera gear for a sunset. I was thrilled when they didn’t look at me like the insane person I am and trusted me with their own lives. See? Yet another reason I love them.
I have it on good authority that the father and mother of the groom shed a few tears over the results of this Green Valley Lake engagement. That is 100% my hope, my prayer, and the desire of my heart. Ever since the very start of this decades long journey, I’ve had this burning passion to give others the gift of their own memories. To have a photograph that’s alive, able to inspire and evoke emotion. Every session, wedding, and photograph is my honor and joy to serve the ones who trust me with their memories.
You’ll see their amazing Green Valley Lake wedding here trust me when I say you don’t want to miss it either!
